“Lighthouse Landing is a not-for-profit (# 814052668) summer camp that welcomes families with children of all abilities.  It is our mission to provide a safe, natural environment for self-discovery, interaction with others, and reconnection with nature.  Our volunteer senior staff has worked in the area of special needs support as Educational Assistants, Certified Teachers, Autism Therapists and/or Respite/Support Workers.  Our program includes family activities as well as daily interactive respite.  Campers benefit through social interaction, community building, improved self-efficacy, confidence, age-appropriate independence, full immersion in nature and physical fitness.”

Thank you to JOYCE DEMERAY for her kind hand-made donation to our camp.  We will put our new aprons to good use this summer.  Her son Steve (second from the left) will be joining us for three weeks as part of our Shining Lights program this summer.

Thank you to THE GENERATION LINE for helping us acquire new Adirondack chairs for our camp.  Families will rest easy in these chairs not only because they will bask in the beauty of nature in comfort, but because they also know that the chairs were produced with 100% recycled materials.  We support The Generation Line not only for their environmental conscience but because they also encourage manufacturers of their products to employ adults with disabilities.  Nature, Environmentalism and Inclusion - a perfect match with Lighthouse Landing Camp.
